Power Poppy ~ So Grateful

Hello again friends!!  I'm so glad you're back, because you will not want to miss the peeks of this gorgeous new Power Poppy set called So Grateful.  I am in serious LOVE!!  I chose to use the Dahlia collage for today.  Isn't this flower arrangement stunning?  And it's so easy to color.  Marcy does all the work for you with her strategically sketched shadows.  And the color combos are limited only to your imagination.

I colored and fussy-cut out the image and layered it on a diecut panel with dimensional tape.  The frame is also popped up, with dimensional tape, over the Enchanted Garden (BoBunny) decorative paper.

That's it.  I really went CAS this time around folks.  I don't know what's gotten into me.

Now, check out what the following Bloom Brigaders have to share today:

Copics:  Y04, YR02, YR01, RV09, RV04, RV02, G29, YG67, YG17, YG05, V17, V15, V12, C10, C7, C5, C2, C0

Tomorrow is the Power Poppy Hop y'all.  Be sure to stop by for a little more inspiration for heading on over to Power Poppy to make your purchases!

Thanks for all your warmth and encouragement!
    Happy Stamping!

Power Poppy ~ Well Played

http://powerpoppy.com/products/well-played/
Welcome back friends!!  I am so excited to share a fabulously fun new Power Poppy set with you today, called Well Played, and it has the most adorably "hip" images with coordinating sentiments.  My daughter lamented that she's never seen a "record" irl (in real life), after I told her I made today's card to look like a record.  I was ashamed of myself.  I actually have a couple and never shared them with her.  And I was a DJ for 3 years at the local Christian Radio station while in college.  In fact, that was the career path I was on before I got engaged to a Dairy Farmer.  No time for radio stations after that.  I had to help with the business.
Now isn't this vintage record player just the cutest?!?!?!   And the sentiments are just super fun!!

To make the record, I just layered a bunch of circle dies (Standard and Grand - Spellbinders), and embossed them after cutting out the largest one.  Easy-peasy!  I love the effect.  Okay...I went a little crazy with the sequins, but seriously...we're talking the 70's here.  ;)
That's it y'all!!  Now be sure and check out what the following Bloom Brigaders have to share today.  They're always quite the inspiration!!
Copics:  BG07, BG05, BG02, BG00, R29, R24, R22, YR07, YR04, YR02, Y17, Y08, Y06, Y02, G19, G14, G12, E29, E37, E34, E31, C8, C5, C3, C1

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll stop again tomorrow for another Power Poppy Peek.

   Happy Stamping!

Power Poppy ~ Happy Crabapples

http://powerpoppy.com/products/happy-crabapple/
Hello Friends!!  I can't believe it's almost August!!  One exciting thing about coming up on a new month, is... new Power Poppy images!!  August 1, Power Poppy will be releasing the Color Me Grateful Collection.  And it's an incredible set too.  For the next 3 days, the Bloom Brigade will share little peeks into what you can expect, and the 4th day, we'll have a little hop showcasing all the sets.

Now, earlier this year a Flowering Branches digi was released and it was very well received.  So well, in fact,  that now there's a fabulous entire stamp set of Happy Crabapple images with beautiful sentiments included.

I colored one of the branches with Copics and framed it with a few circles.  I was inspired by MOJO Monday Sketch 261.  I added a blossom bunch to the upper left corner, along with a few enamel dots, and that sums up this CAS card.

Here's a list of the Bloom Brigaders who have peeks to share with you today:

Copics:  R17, R14, R12, R02, G99, G94, G85, G82, E79, E74

That's it for me today.  Stop by tomorrow for a blast from the past.  ;)

    Happy Stamping!

Power Poppy Christmas in July Sale

http://powerpoppy.com/collections/happiest-holiday-collection
It's Christmas in July over at Power Poppy and Marcy is offering 20% off all Christmas stamp sets for 24 hours today.  And that's not all.  Marcy is offering this gorgeous digital Hollyberries image for half off.  That's only $3 for a beautiful holly berry branch and 2 sentiments.  What a deal!!

For my card today, I printed 3 of the Hollyberries branches, colored them with Copics, and fussy cut them out.  I cut one of them into smaller pieces to fill in the corners of the card.  I also cut up the sentiment and laid it randomly over the lattice portion of the card.  The holly and berries have a touch of glitter added to them also, to give them a little pop, and I burnished the back of the images for some added texture.

That's it for me today.  If you haven't already, you'll want to check out the inspirational creations the following Bloom Brigaders have to share.  There's no shortage of inspiration with these gals, let me tell ya!!
Copics:  YG99, YG97, YG95, YG91, YG01, E49, E47, E44, R37

A Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello friends!  I needed a masculine birthday card, so I thought it would be fun to haul out some of Waltzingmouse's Woodgrain images.  I find that I always have feminine cards on hand, but never masculine.  They are definitely harder to make if you like to embellish, that's for sure.

I stamped the background panel with the Woodgrain background, then embossed it with a woodgrained embossing folder to give it some texture.  I then layered a couple of woodgrain banners over it after diecutting a frame using the new Stitched Rectangle die (Waltzingmouse).

I then took the Zig Zag Backgrounder image, stamped it with Night Sky (VersaMagic) onto Kraft Cardstock, and diecut it using a Star die (Spellbinders).  Lastly I added the "birthday" sentiment from Hello, Happy Thanks (Waltzingmouse) to the arrow banner and free-hand cut out "Happy" that I stamped onto vintage Cream cs (PTI).

That's about it.  Thank you so much for dropping by!
I hope you have a FANTASTIC week!!

Happy Stamping!

Life is the Flower ~ Power Poppy

Hello friends!! There are some exciting new things happening over at Power Poppy.  Marcella's bringing back some of her gorgeous images in digital form.  Each one has a little tweak here and there to make it fresh and new, and now you don't have to settle for only one digital release a month.  There will be 3.  Yep...every 5th, 15th and 25th, there will be some beautiful digital images released along with some coordinating sentiments.

Today, we're featuring a beautifully, charming floral bouquet called Asters Abuzz!!  I used photoshop to create the image twice and combine them for a vertical image and colored them with Copics.  I also split the sentiment so I could add it to the top and bottom of my image panel.  The base is embossed with an embossing folder and I got a little sequin happy.

Now, a few of the Bloom Brigade, along with a very special Instant Gardener, have some fabulous projects to share with y'all.

Copics:  Asters: B29, B26, B24, YR27, Y18, Y06 Clover: RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21 Flowering Thyme: V17, V15, V12 Leaves:  G28, YG45, YG41, YG17, YG25, YG13 Background: C4, C3, C2

That's it for my project today.
Have a great week!

   Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Old Bean

Hello friends!  Happy 4th of July!!  I hope you all have a safe holiday today.  I'm so grateful for all the freedoms I get to appreciate here in America, and for the soldiers who fight to keep it that way.

I don't have a patriotic card to share today, and am sorry.  I needed a masculine card.  I love the sentiment "Happy Birthday Old Bean" from the new Waltzingmouse set Coffee Time.  And it has the cutest little bean grinder and beans.  So I inked up the grinder with Celestial Copper Delicata ink (Tsukineko), and embossed it with Aged Copper Embossing Enamel (Stampendous) and Copper ep (Ranger).  The Embossing Enamel is very thick and doesn't work well with detailed images but I wanted the patina it left, so after tapping off the excess, I poured some Copper detailed embossing powder over it and it filled in all the empty spaces.  WMS has a Coffee Time diecut set too which was great for diecutting the little grinder.  It lines up so beautifully!

The sentiment was also embossed with the Copper ep.  I then stamped two sizes of the beans and cut them out.  They were Rock-n-Rolled with Jumbo Java (VersaMagic) and Espresso Truffle (Memento).

That sums up my card for today.  But I want to take a moment to let you know that Waltzingmouse Stamps is having a HUGE SALE (50% to 75% off) and is retiring quite a few sets.  It'd be a great idea to check it out HERE.

  Happy Stamping!
