You Brighten My Day!

Hello!! Happy New Year's Eve!! I don't know about all of you, but I'm looking forward to the new year. It might have a little something to do with the fact that I'm going to CHA in a little over three weeks though (grin).

Well, today I made this card for SCS's Sketch Challenge found HERE. I loved the sketch. Probably because it involved layers, and I LOVE layers.

I just had to haul out this sweet little Sarah Kay image again. You can get it at Stamper's Dream (Michelle has Sarah Kays from both sets, and some darling Rachelle Miller images...you really should stop by and check them out!! They're ultra cute and so much fun to color!) This one's called Precious Moments. I love her sweet hat and those darling chicks. I thought the sentiment from the set Charming Gardeners (Impression Obsession), fit perfectly with this image. Michelle just got in some new Impression Obsession images too!! Oh, how I love new stuff!! *grin*

I stamped her with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Neenah Solar White cs, and colored her with my copics. The sentiment was stamped with the same ink onto Sugared dp by Basicgrey, and embossed with Detailed Black ep (Judikins). I rounded the corners with a corner punch.

The bow is attached with some darling scroll and toggle pieces from the jewelry making section of Michaels. I love the heart shapes. I just attached them with brads on the one end, and tied the ribbon through the holes on the other. I think they give a really nice elegant touch to a card with a country feel. I like to mix the two styles. The border is a Martha Stewart border punch, and the flower is from SU's Spring Flower Bouquet punch. I added a dew drop to the center.

Supplies: Stamps - Precious Moments (Sarah Kay), Charming Gardeners (Impression Obsession) Paper - Sugared (Basic Grey), Birchtone Dark, White (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress) Accessories - Scroll Toggle (Michaels), organdy ribbon, sewing machine, copics, Martha Stewart border punch, Corner tag punch and Spring Flower Bouquet punch (SU), Dew Drop, brads, dimensional tape

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I hope your new year is filled with blessings!!
Happy Stamping!

A Featured Butterfly Thank You

Barbara (Stampfilled Dreams on SCS) is the featured stamper on SCS today. Oh my does she have a gallery filled with yummy projects and cards! WOW! I decided to case THIS CARD of hers because I was drawn to the ribbon treatment and butterfly. Mine turned out pretty pink, which is not the norm for me. I asked my daughter's opinion and she told me, "Mom, you know you should never ask my opinion if your card is mostly pink. You know what I'll say" (She is not a fan of pink....*grin*). Well, it's a start. I haven't uploaded a card since last Wednesday, so this is it.

I also ink distressed the edges a bit with Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress)

When CASEing a card for the FS challenge on SCS, two things must be changed. I used all dp, and added the punched corners (with a new punch that I got from my dear friend Joanne (JoJot on SCS) Thanks Joanne...it adds so much to the overall look of the card!! I also made my flowers vellum, and popped up the card with dimensional tape.

My butterfly is a Spellbinders diecut and I coated the embossed portion of its wings with glitter. The flowers are vellum punched flowers, and I used a roatary cutter for my scalloped edge. The charming sentiment is from Papertrey's Women of Life set and is stamped with Vintage Sepia (Versafine) and embossed with Clear ep.

Supplies:
Stamps - Women of Life (Papertrey)
Paper - Quite Smitten (MME), Prismatics
Ink - Vintage Sepia (Versafine), Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress)
Accessories - Rhinestone Stickers (Kaisercraft), Carl carla craft flower punch, butterfly diecut (Spellbinders), scalloped rotary cutter, decorative corner punch (Marvy), glitter, dimensional tape, clear ep, ribbon (American Craft)

I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend, and are refreshed after all the craziness of the Joyous Christmas Holiday! Thank you so much for stopping by and for all of your encouragement. I so enjoy creating, stamping, and learning!

Happy Stamping!!

Merry Christmas 2008

Jesus is the reason for the season (Banner image) Pictures, Images and Photos

May each and every one of you have a blessed
Merry Christmas!!!

No One LIke You!!

Hi everyone!! It's Christmas Eve day, and I'm looking forward to going to our church's Christmas Eve service and opening presents this evening. But before I have to get everything ready, I wanted to share this card with you.

It's my SIL's birthday today, and since it's usually overlooked due to all the busyness of Christmas, I made sure it had no colors or feel of the season. Thus the summer image with the butterflies. Also, she has 4 boys from the age 8 to 15, so I made this card very girly.

My SIL is very special to me. We were roommates in college and married brothers and our kids are closer than close. It's such a blessing since we both live so far away from our families (midwest). Anyway...about the card. I stamped this precious Picnic's of Daisies (Sarah Kay) image onto Neenah Natural White cs with Tuxedo Black (Memento), and colored it with my copics.

I'm sure others have discovered this before me, but I was really excited when I figured out that the Martha Stewart border punch I used looked like a picket fence when used upside down and with the striped paper!! That's how my layout came to be. I started out trying to do SCS's sketch like I normally do, but I couldn't get the look right. I turned my border panel upside down, and woila!!! The sentiment is from my favorite versatile set called Thinking of You Clear Design (Hero Arts). It has such a variety of fonts and sayings that I find myself turning to it time and time again! *grin*

The charming butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch that I got from my dear friend Laurie. I know I'll be using this punch often. Thanks, my friend!

Finally, I added the gorgeous SU Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon with a blush pearl.

Supplies: Stamps - Picnics of Daisies (Sarah Kay) Thinking of You (Hero Arts) Paper - Tres Jolie (MME), Suede Brown Medium, Desert Coral Light, Island Mist Light, Neenah Natural White Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Paper (Ranger) Accessories -Pearls (Kaisercraft), Copics, Nestabilities Labels I, Martha Stewart Border punch, Corner rounder, taffeta ribbon, sponge, dimensional tape

I won't be posting for a couple of days, but I'll have a couple more cards to show this weekend.
I wish all of you a safe, healthy and blessed Merry Christmas!!

Time for Apple Pie

Okay, I loved Paula's gallery so much I just couldn't choose one card to case. So, I made another card based on THIS CARD of hers. I loved the soft yellows, the sewing, the charm, and the simple sketch. So, all I changed was the image. I added Candy Dots that I got from Taylored Expressions (Love these), and I layered my image (Paper Tole). I also changed the charm to fit the theme of my card.

I stamped this darling Time for Apple Pie image (Sarah Kay), that I got from Stamper's Dream, 3 times with Tuxedo Black (Memento) and colored her with my copics. I layered the girl (minus her legs and shoes), and the basket. Here's a closer look so you can see the dimension.

I sewed around the edges, and added the apple charm that I got from Stamping bella. Oh, the image is cut out with my tall rectangle nestabilities.

Supplies:
Stamps - Time for Apple Pie (Sarah Kay)
Paper - Chatterbox, White, Apricot Appeal (SU)
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories - Charm (Stamping Bella), Candy Dots (Pebbles inc. - Taylored Expressions), Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Copics, Sewing Machine, Dimensional Tape, Organdy Ribbon

That's about it. Have a blessed Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

You made me SMILE!

I got to participate in SCS's Featured Stamper Challenge today. And what fun I had perusing Paula's gallery!! Her coloring is Fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration Paula!!

I chose THIS CARD because I loved how she used the pearls, and her sketch. The requirements of this challenge are: Case the Featured Stamper's Card, but change at least two things. My changes: Image, colors, sentiment, added dimension, eliminated ink distressing and sewing (I know, those are my two favorites, but I wanted to keep this card crisp and clean.

I received this darling Penny Black snowman image from my dear friend Charlene (LilLuvsStampin 0n SCS). Thanks Charlene...you know how I adore snowmen. And the gorgeous K&Company paper is from another dear friend, Joanne (JoJot on SCS)...she knows how I adore paper too. You guys know me so well...*grin*

The image is stamped with Smokey Gray (Versafine) and is colored with copics. I added a bit of glitter to the snow, flackes, and scarf. The border is a lace punch by Martha Stewart, and the sentiment is from Verve.

Supplies:
Stamps - Penny Black, Verve
Paper - K&Company, Frosted Teal, White (Prismatic), Papertrey White
Ink - Smokey Gray (Versafine)
Accessories - Copics, Nestabilties, pearls, glitter, ribbon, Border punch (Martha Stewart)

Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a blessed week, and a very Merry Christmas!!
Happy Stamping!!

Tree-mendous Love

I'm a little excited about this card. It looks pretty simple, but I love what happened with the lacy border. I punched the border out with my Martha Stewart border punch and added Frosted Lace stickles to it. When it dried, it warped a bit (which is a good thing....*grin*). It gave it a more realistic look. What fun!! For the top of the card, I just punched slots on both sides of the circles and weaved SU's Gingham ribbon through them.

This sweet giraffe image is from a the set "Treemendous Love" by a new stamp company called Our Craft Lounge. Isn't he/she adorable? I stamped him/her with Smokey Gray (Versafine) onto Neenah Solar White, along with the little heart flowers, and colored them with my copics. I added some Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to the dots on the giraffe and on the sides of the heart flowers. I then cut them out with my Labels I diecut (Spellbinders). The sentiment was stamped onto Baby Pink Medium with the same Smokey Gray ink. Finally, I just added an Adornit gem and popped the image panels up with dimensional tape. The card is a standard A2. That's it.

Supplies: Stamps - Our Craft Lounge Paper - Baby Pink Medium, Crabapple Medium (Prismatics), DCWV Sweet Pack, Neenah Solar White Ink - Smokey Gray (Versafine) Accessories - Copics, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart border punch, Frosted Lace Stickles, Slot Punch, Gingham Ribbon, Adornit gem, dimensional tape

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you had a fabulous week and are looking forward to a wonderful weekend!
Happy Stamping!

Just a Country Girl at Heart...

Today's card is for SCS's Sketch Challenge found HERE.

I don't know why I struggled with this sketch, but it took me nearly all day to complete this.

Oh well, I stamped this darling Country Girl (Sarah Kay) with Memento Black twice onto Neenah Solar White cs. I then colored both images with my copics, cut out the girl, hen, and two chicks, and mounted them onto the base image with dimensional tape. The flowers and leaves are Martha stewart punches with Blush Pearls (Kaisercraft), and the swirls are Doodle Parts (Spellbinders).

The background to the main image was sponged with sponge daubers and pastels while still laying in the nestabilities rectangle, and all the edges are ink distressed with Old Paper (Ranger Distress Ink).

My internet is acting up!! I'll come back later and link the rest of the products I used when the internet decides to speed up....sorry for the inconvenience.

Supplies: Stamps - Sarah Kay Paper - Prima Marketing, Desert Coral Light, Vanilla Cream (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Paper (Ranger Distress) Accessories - Doodle Parts (Spellbinders), flower and leaf punches (Martha Stewart), Pastels, Blush Pearls (Kaisercraft), Copics, Nestabilities, dimensional tape, sponge dauber

A Precious Birthday Wish

I fell in love with Sarah Kay images the very first time I saw them. They capture the sweet innocence of children and are so charming!! And of course...they're so much fun to color. I was sooooo excited when Michelle at Stamper's Dream decided to carry these!! Woo-Hoo!! This one is called Precious Moments. How darling is that little chick?

Well, one of my nieces had a birthday a bit back (hanging head in shame), and I'm late with her card. So I put a bit of time and detail into this one.

I stamped this Precious Moments image onto Neenah Solar White cs with Tuxedo Black (Memento) and colored it with my copics. I added a bit of sparkle to her hat, bow and some patches with my Quickie Glue Pen and Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. The Gingercake (Memory Box) paper was ink distressed with Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress Ink).

I love how this paper flower turned out. I blinged it up a bit with SU's filigree brad jacket behind the rhinestone brad, some Frosted Lace Stickles and some gorgeous Spellbinder Swirls (Doodle Parts Dies) cut out of Prism Metallic Champagne cs. I added a flower to the corner too, and some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls. I created a little belt with my SU Word Window punch and an EK Success Fastenator staple. I sewed around the back two panels, mounted each with dimensional tape, and added some Dew Drops.

That's it. Thank you so much for visiting today.
Have a blessed Christmas season!!
Happy Stamping!

CCEE Snowdeer Sketch

Cindy Haffner provided a sketch for our CCEE group this week. We'd love it if you played along too. All you have to do is click HERE, and link your card in the comment section. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

I flipped my sketch to fit this darling Snow Reindeer image (Elzybells). I stamped it onto Neenah Natural White and colored it with my copics. I then sewed across the top portion of the middle panel, squished my SU Felt Snowflakes in my Essential Glue pad and added glitter to those also.

I also tried out my new Distress Stickles. I punched out two brown circles and added the Walnut Stain distress Stickles to them, and I added Vintage Photo Stickles to the reindeer's nose. The edges are all ink distressed with Brushed Corduroy Ranger Distress ink, and the border is a Martha Stewart punch.

Gray Day Smiles with Blog Candy

Today is the 2nd Thursday of December. I can hardly believe it!! Time is just flying by. It could have something to do with the time of year it is I guess (grin) Anyway, Stamper's Dream has been issuing a challenge each month, and since the month of December can be filled with some pretty gray days, for today's Dreamy Challenge we're making Gray cards with a splash of color and a bit of bling. Here's my take on the challenge.

I stamped these Snow People (Artful Stamper) with Smokey Gray Versafine onto Neenah Solar White paper. I then colored them with my copics, and cut out the rectangular shape with my Nestabilities, along with the oval tag. I dipped my Stampin' Up white snowflake in my Essential Glue pad and coated it with Swimming Pool Sugar Coating glitter, and added a dew drop to the center. I added glitter to the scarves, mittens, and snow with my Quickie Glue Pen, and the Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter (Art Institute).

The little gems are Adornit gems on top of circles that I punched with a hole punch.
Each panel is mounted with dimensional tape, and the edges are ink distressed with Slate (Adirondack Dye Ink)

Check out what the rest of the Stamper's Dream Dream Team has come up with: Michelle, Cammie, Charmaine, Cindy, Denise, Kim, Laurie.

Michelle is having a Blog Candy give away too, so you'll want to check out her blog. All you have to do to be entered, is make a card with tones of gray, and add a splash of color and a bit of bling. Link that to the comment section of Michelle's Stamper's Dream blog, and you'll be entered. If you're posting your card on SCS, please use the keyword SDDC3. We'd love to see all of your creative ideas!! Here's what you can win....

Also....while you're thinking about what to get for your stamping friends and relatives, think about getting them GIFT CERTIFICATES from Stamper's Dream. Sometimes it's hard to know what supplies or images they already have, and what stamper doesn't love shopping for supplies!?!?!

Chocolate Flakes

I found some awesome napkins at Walmart this past week that had different brown tones and snowflakes. Well, I'm a country girl and loved the warm, cozy, country feel. I know....shocker, eh? So, of course they inspired me to make this card. (no comments about brown snow either...*groan*)

So, this was a very simple and quick card. I just used my Curved Rectangle Nestabilities diecut to cut out the shape I wanted, stamped the Snowflakes (Stampin' Up) onto this gorgeous K&Company paper with Brushed Corduroy (Ranger Distress Ink), and outlined them with my white opaque pen (Inkssentials).

I layered the main image panel onto a Snowflake embossed (cuttlebug), Suede Brown Light (Prismatics) piece of cardstock, and framed them both with Suede Brown Dark (Prismatics). Finally, I sewed around the edges of the back panel, added Chocolate Pearls (Kaisercraft) and some gorgeous White Embroidered Ribbon (May Arts).

The sentiment is from the Home for Christmas set (Stampin' Up)

That's it.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this season and that all your Holiday plans are going smoothly!!!
Happy Stamping!!

I pierced the edges of the back panel and added Black Rhinestone stickers (Kaisercraft) to the swirl and corners. Each panel, and the dove, is mounted with dimensional tape.

Good Wednesday Morning!! I made a card for SCS's Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge today.

The first one is for SCS's Sketch found HERE.
I stamped this charming Merry Chrismoose (Isn't he the cutest?) with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Neenah Natural White and colored him with my copics.

The Tinsel Town Trees (Pink Paislee) were rock and rolled with Always Artichoke (SU) and Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress Ink)

I added a touch of sparkle, just for fun, with my Quickie Glue Pen and Lily White Sugar Coating (Doodlebug)....it's on sale too....Woo-Hoo!! Check out all of Michelle's Doodlebug products for a great sale.

I used my Spellbinders Tag Trio for the sentiment!

I made this second card for SCS's Color Challenge. We had to use the colors Sahara Sand, Black, and Very Vanilla. I didn't use SCS cs, so I got as close to the colors as I could.

I stamped this gorgeous Northwoods image with Tuxedo Black (Memento) on to Neenah Natural White cs, colored it with my Warm Gray Copics, added Frosted Lace Stickles to the leaves, and cut out the image. I then ink distressed all the edges with Sahara Sand (SU).

The base behind the flowers is the Curved Rectangle Nestabilities diecut, the back panel is dry embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the middle horizontal strip was cut with a Martha Stewart Border punch.

For a final touch, I punched the corners with my SU Corner Tag punch and added Pewter Pearls (Kaisercraft)

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you're having a fabulous week. I won't be posting for a few days again because I'll be watching my oldest compete in college swimming. I'm looking forward to that!!

Happy Stamping!!!

A Western Winter

Howdy!! It's time for another CCEE challenge that I do each Monday with a small group of friends. Cindy Haffner came up with our challenges for this month. Today we were to make a blue card with brads. (She was very easy on us since this is such a busy month. Thanks Cindy...you're a dear)

I made this card for a special young man who just turned 10 on Friday (okay...so I'm a bit late...but what boy doesn't like a birthday drawn out? *grin*)

Anyway, this is quite the mish-mash of stamps and inks. The bg was created by leaving the Kraft cardstock in the Labels I diecut and sponging the inside with Craft White (SU) and Petal Point blues. I then stamped the trees (Lovely as a Tree - SU) with Tuxedo Black (Memento), the left Wanted (SU) horse with Sepia (Versafine), and the right one again with Tuxedo Black after masking the first one. Now I realize the horses shouldn't be lined up the way they are. It's not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The brown one was supposed to be higher, but I rushed it and didn't use my positioner. Arghh!! Since this was my 4th attempt at a bg, I'm just leaving it as is. I know...the horror. After stamping all the images, I heat set the pigment inks with my heat tool, and added some snow with my Inkssentials White Opaque Pen.

The blue bg panel was dry embossed with the Forest Panel (Cuttlebug). I then blanket stitched along the edges with my sewing machine.

I created the sentiment with my JustRite Harmony Rectangular Stamper set, and the 25 pt Brayton Font letters and symbols.

The circle star is from the charming Papertrey set called Background Basics Stars.

To see what the other girls have come up with this month, click HERE.
And if you'd like to play along, we'd love to see what you come up with. Just follow the instructions on the CCEE Stampers blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you had a blessed weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

I hope all my American friends had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday. I know I did!! I'd have to say it was one of the best ever. My son was home from college and it was such a fun relaxing day.

Well, my husband has been building a new shop, and he and my son decided it needed a basketball hoop inside. So there was a quick trip to Walmart and then the assembly. That gave me some time to make a card while father and son had some bonding time...no complaints from me...*grin*

The minute I saw this sweet Whiff of Joy Snowman called Herb with Teacup, I was in love!! I adore snowmen, and I loved the sweet swirls and his charming outfit!! Of course I had to have him. I stamped him onto Champagne Metallic (Prism) with Tuxedo Black (Memento) and colored him with my copics. I originally had planned to have the sentiment medallion on the outside, but my daughter told me it was too much. So, since I've long admired Denise's (The Paper Landscaper) style of decorating the inside of her cards too, I thought now was the time to give that a try. The sentiment is from the set: Winter Love

The circle and rectangle were cut with my Nestabilities diecuts, and I added a Stampin' Up snowflake, ribbon, dew drops, and stickles. The bottom border was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

Supplies:
Stamps - Whiff of Joy
Paper - Festive Frost (My Mind's Eye) Mystic Medium and Suede Brown Dark, Champagne Metallic (Prism)
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Walnut Stain (Ranger)
Accessories - Ribbon, Snowflake (SU), Dew Drops, Martha Stewart Punch, Corner Tag Punch, Double Circle punch (SU), Frosted Lace, Gunmetal, Christmas Red (Stickles), Copics, Nestabilities, dimensional tape

Thank You!!

I have so many Thank You's to make, I thought I'd get started right away. It helped that I just received some new JustRite images in the mail a couple of days ago...*grin* They're perfect for thank you notes, among many other things too of course. (Can ya tell I love them?)

And, guess what?!?! Stamper's Dream is having a 50% off sale on select images. Click HERE to check them out.

Not only that, SD is offering all it's Holiday stamps at 15% off. Click HERE for this great deal. All you have to do to get this special deal is to enter the coupon code HOLIDAYS when checking out.

I always try to do SCS's Sketch Challenge, and thought I wouldn't be able to this week because my son came home from college last night. For some reason he wanted to sleep in? Hmmmm...could it be because he doesn't have to go to the 5:00 am morning swim practices while home? LOL

Anyway, all I did was stamp this *Thanks* medallion (Harmony Classic Circle Stamper II Stamp Ensemble) twice...once in Old Olive and once in True Thyme (SU), and cut out the *thanks* and mounted it with dimensional tape on top of the True Thyme.

I LOVE this Poolside and Greenhouse paper by Making Memories. The ribbon is also from the Greenhouse collection (MM). The rhinestone crystals are K&Company.

That's it! I hope all my American friends have a happy Thanksgiving. And the rest of you, I hope you are having a blessed week and have much to be thankful for!!

Happy Stamping!!

A Masculine Christmas Tent Topper

Before I get to how this card came about, I wanted to let you know about a fantastic sale!!! Stamper's Dream has many JustRite Images priced at 50% off!! Click HERE to see what you can get for this fantastic price. I'm a huge JustRite fan. They are so very versatile, so be sure to check it out.

And......Michelle is carrying Sarah Kay images now too!! They are soooooo darling!! And they're a blast to color.

Now for the details about my card. First I chose my DP. I love Basicgrey's Archaic line and thought it would be fun to use it as a Christmas card. So, I chose my colors based on this charming plaid.

I used my Stampin' Up markers to color my Christmas Stamp Ensemble sentiment from JustRite Stampers, and cut it out along with a few mats, with my Circle Nestabilities. To get the ridged edge, I just took the Scalloped Circle diecut and a slightly smaller circle and ran it through the cuttlebug. To be sure you have the right size circle to cut off only a portion of the scallops, you shouldn't be able to see any of the scallop sticking out the outside of the circle.

To finish it off, I added SU's Cranberry Crisp Stitched Ribbon, and punched the horizontal strip with a Martha Stewart Punch. Oh, I almost forgot, I also punche the top edges of my card with Su's corner tag punch.

ETA: I always forget to let people know the sizes of my cards, and they're rarely A2...*grin*
I was kindly asked to let you know in my blog entries. If I forget in the future, please remind me via my email. Today's base is 4" x 4". The circle scallop is the second to largest...I don't know the exact size, but you can make it as large as you want.

I hope you're having a fabulous day!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Stamping!!

Snowman Mug Pop-Up Gift Card Holder

I loved today's technique challenge so much on SCS, that I had to make another. Click HERE for instructions.

I thought this darling Snowman Mug (Impression Obsession) would be perfect to hold a coffee gift card...you can get hot chocolate too...*grin*

I colored him with my copics, added liquid applique to the marshmallows, and glitter to the cap and scarf. The border was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and all the edges were ink distressed with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress).

That about covers it!! Hope your week is off to a great start!!

Happy Stamping!!

What was I thinking?

Christmas in orange? Don't go there. I was trying to match the jamba juice gift card. And in person, it's really not that bad...I kind of liked it. Well, until I photographed it and began editing. The bird looks like a crow, and the stickles don't show up as much as irl...so it looks more Halloweenish. Sorry. I loved the idea though, and I won't have time to do this later as I have a ton of errands to do. But I wanted to show you this awesome idea that was used for the SCS Technique Challenge found HERE.

For the front of my gift card holder, I used my new Labels I Nestabilities Diecut!! I LOVE this shape...I'm sure you will see me use it often.

I stamped Nature's Dance (Penny Black) with Tuxedo Black (Memento), onto Frosted Orange (Prismatics) I then sponged Dried Marigold (Ranger Distress) all over the panel, embossed it with the Leaf folder, and rubbed Tea Dye (Ranger) over the leaves. I then added Copper Stickles to the berries. The sentiment is from the Clear Design set Thinking of You Messages. I thought the brackets fit perfectly with the Labels I shape. *grin* The sentiment on the inside is Script Merry Christmas (Northwoods)

Be sure to check out the tutorial on SCS...It's so easy and has so many possibilities!!
